Bol Bachchan little too heavily inspired by the 1979 Amol Palekar-starrer Golmaal. First of all if you are expecting Amitabh Bachchan in it then you'll be disappointed because he is only present in the one song.

Bol Bachchan takes the idea of double identity and gives it a new age look.Abbas ali played by Abhishek Bachchan accidentally falls to an situation which makes him lie about his name. From there starts the unending situation of lies leads to another and that to another till the whole story becomes one big comedy of errors. Abbas calls himself Abhishek Bachchan on being caught he makes up a story of a brother from another mother.His gay act comes across as completely over the top.

Prithviraj played by Ajay Devgan. Ajay Devgn's character who is so in to the English language that despite not knowing the language he prefers talking only in it.He is head of a village & also a wrestler. He hates the people who lie to him but as the situations in the movie all are making lies to him. The character played by him is so natural that one thinks that it was made for him.

Asin and Prachi the female leads of the film has nothing much to do in the movie except being the source of song and dance sequences. Archana Puran Singh on the other hand is the only female character in the movie who gives the humour quotient.

This movie is setup in Punjab.In Punjab the weddings are a big affair.There is a guy Bittoo in the small village, who is a video maker in weddings but he is not well educated & makes very less money. He is the best guy in the profession for all the village people.He makes them smile,sings song for them,dance in wedding & he is also a charmer.The village girls are very fond for him, they ask him what to wear before getting ready for any wedding.

The main part starts when he likes a girl at a wedding,who is very well educated & is from very rich family.He goes after her & ask her for friendship but the girl denies,after sometime they are friends & again they fight.

After sometime to make ore money he as per his boss's instruction goes to a hill station to make movies of married couple honeymoon but inside he is a good person so he doesn't do this & come back to village.

The girl is marrying someone else, who is the main person behind blue film racket.with the help of police he bust the racket & arrest the man & wins the heart of the girl.

The role of the guy is gud but the girl fails to leave any impression on.First she is not as gud as the girls who are after bittoo & secondly she has done very overacting.The movie is sometimes & sometimes very slow.The love story between them is not so good because the girl look very old in front of him.The chemistry between them is very cold.The side characters of Vicky is very good treat to watch he makes the film alive with his comic appearance.
